Hans Family Estate - Mistral 2016

Our most aromatic Mistral yet. Bright and opulent aromatics of jasmine, lavender and ripe stone fruit jump out of the glass before your first sip. The richness, structure, spice and great acidity of the Marsanne and Roussanne compliment the exuberant fruit intensity and roundness of the Viognier. Creating a full-bodied wine bursting with a fruit splendour of apricot and peach with a hint of almond and spice - a beautiful expression of these varieties. This complex blend leaves a long silky finish which keeps on giving.

Wairau Valley - Rapaura Prime location. One of the warmest sites in the Wairau valley, special micro-climate from adjoining Wairau river. Naturally frost protected.

Natural. No adjustments or additives with the exception of minimum effective SO2.

18 months (on fine lees) in French oak puncheon (500 litre).
